Hours

Our doctors are available to see your pet during the following times:
 
    8:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Friday
    8:00 am - 12 noon Saturday

In addition to the above hours we offer drop-off service beginning at 7:00 am on weekdays and 7:30 am on Saturdays. On Sunday afternoons from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm the office is open if you need to drop-off or pick-up your pet.

In order for our staff to be with their families we are closed on the following holidays:

    New Year's Day
    Memorial Day
    Independence Day (July 4th)
    Labor Day
    Thanksgiving Day
    Christmas Day

We also close at noon on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

We generally work by appointments, but walk-ins are accepted. Appointments for wellness care or for sick pets are scheduled from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm weekdays and 8:00 am to 11:30 am Saturdays.

Surgery and dentistry patients should arrive between 7:00 am and 8:00 am.

About Us

Outside of hospital (click to enlarge)Southwind Animal Hospital was established in 2001 by the merger of Hickory Ridge Animal Hospital and the Animal Clinic at Shelby Square. In 2006 we continued to expand by adding the former Kirby Gate Animal Hospital to our practice.

We have combined these practices to develop a better health care service for your pet. In addition to routine wellness care, we provide advanced medical, dental, and surgical services, complementary medicine including acupuncture, as well as ancillary services such as boarding, bathing and grooming.

Payment Options
Payment is requested at the time services are rendered. For your convenience we accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and CareCredit. CareCredit is an extended credit financing plan featuring a six month interest free payment option.

We also accept most major pet health insurance plans including PurinaCare® and Veterinary Pet Insurance®.
