Surgery and Dentistry

Good pain management and the safety of your pet while under anesthesia are of utmost importance. The use of pre-emptive pain management, inhalation anesthesia, continuous electronic patient monitoring, intravenous fluid therapy, sterile surgical technique and up-to-date procedures helps to accomplish that goal.

We routinely perform elective surgical procedures, such as spays and neuters, as well as non-elective procedures including orthopedic, soft tissue and neurosurgical cases.

Dental care is a very important aspect of total health care for your pet. We offer complete dental prophylaxis which includes cleaning and polishing teeth, fluoride treatment, and dental charting. In addition we perform dental x-rays, routine extractions, and client education on home dental care.

Boarding, Bathing, Grooming

Our boarding facility is indoors and climate controlled. Reservations are essential to guarantee a space for your pet as availability is limited. For your pet's protection, current immunizations are required. If a pet becomes ill while boarding, a doctor is always available to administer necessary treatment.

PlaytimeDogs are walked outdoors in a covered secure areas several times daily. In addition to normal exercise periods we offer playtimes for your pet. These are individual one-on-one play sessions including use of your pet's favorite toys.

Cats boarding with us stay in our new area that features cat condos with a view. We also offer routine as well as therapeutic bathing for your pet.

Our professional groomers offer full service grooming for all breeds of dogs and cats. Please call our regular office number (901) 362-8321 for an appointment.

Wellness

Annual wellness examKeeping your pet healthy is our ultimate goal. We emphasize Annual Wellness Visits that include a complete physical exam, routine vaccinations, testing for internal parasites such as intestinal worms and heartworms, and blood and urine screening for underlying diseases.

In order to keep your dog or cat parasite free, we advocate monthly administration of medications to prevent heartworms, intestinal worms and external parasites such as fleas and ticks. We carry a complete line of the most effective products.

Puppies and kittens should be examined as soon as they arrive in their new home.  Routine vaccinations and deworming should be started around 6 weeks of age.

Medical Services

Our hospital offers complete diagnostic and treatment services for all types of illnesses. We have an in-house laboratory for immediate blood and urine testing as well as an outside veterinary reference laboratory that picks up samples twice daily.
