Hospital Staff
Our hospital staff is made up of several departments including:
Jamie Harris, Practice Manager
 Jamie
Leigh Harris began working in the veterinary field in 1992.
She has worked in both large and small animal practices. In
2000, she received the Arkansas Veterinary Assistant of the
Year award. Her duties as Practice Manager for Southwind
Animal Hospital include personnel management, finance
management and client communications. Jamie and her
husband, Tom, enjoy spending time at home with their two
cats, Jelli and Rina. The Harris’ are members of
the Marion Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Conya Tysinger, Inventory Manager
Conya Tysinger began working at a veterinary hospital in
1991. She has held every position from Kennel Assistant to
Practice Manager. She joined Southwind Animal Hospital as
Inventory Manager in March 2004. Her duties include
maintaining inventory, compliance, and OSHA regulations.
In her spare time, Conya likes to spend time with her
family. Her husband, Jason, and daughter, Samantha, along
with her three dogs and one cat keep her busy.

Our staff of friendly, compassionate receptionists is
here to help you and your pet. Their job is to provide exceptional customer
service.

The veterinary assistants are another very important part of our staff. They
are veterinary nurses who assist in all areas of patient care including
outpatient visits, laboratory testing, x-rays, ultrasound, dental cleaning,
assisting in surgery, and general nursing care for hospitalized patients. At
Southwind Animal Hospital we have teams of veterinary assistants that work with
each doctor in the practice. This gives us the greatest continuity and helps us
provide the best care for your pet.

The kennel attendants care for all hospitalized and boarding pets. They feed,
water, and exercise them daily as well as provide a clean environment for
them. These hard-working folks also keep the rest of the hospital clean and
odor-free.
